Advanced Power Technologies (APT)
Position Purpose:
Advanced Power Technologies designs and manufactures custom electrical equipment including switchgear, switchboards, and control panels. We are hiring a Project Coordinator / Project Manager to support project execution by coordinating schedules, customer communication, documentation, and internal follow-up from order through shipment.
You will help ensure projects move efficiently, stakeholders stay aligned, and requirements/changes are documented clearly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate projects from kickoff through shipment
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding schedules, documentation, requirements, and clarifications
- Track project deliverables: drawings/submittals, approvals, material lead times, and production milestones
- Coordinate priorities and open items internally (engineering, purchasing, production, quality, shipping)
- Organize and lead project meetings; publish meeting notes, action items, and due dates
- Support change control by documenting revisions, clarifications, and customer-requested changes
- Maintain accurate project files and status trackers, ensuring information is current and easy to find
Desired Experience (flexible):
We’re open to candidates with related experience such as:
- Project coordination/management in technical manufacturing, industrial equipment, construction, or industrial services
- Electrical contracting roles (foreman/supervisor/PM support), commissioning, field service, or technician roles
- Engineering support, drafting coordination, estimating, operations, scheduling, or technical sales support
- Any role involving customer communication, documentation control, and schedule-driven execution
Preferred Qualification (not all required):
- Familiarity with engineered-to-order products and approval/submittal workflows
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and drawings at a practical level
- Experience and proficiency in using MS Office, PDF editing, CAD, inventory control and/or similar software.
