   Tap Box Information

The APT Generator Quick Connection Tap Box (WM2 Series) is designed to allow your facility to be emergency power ready by providing a quick and safe connection of a mobile generator set in the event of loss of power. Having an APT WM2 Series tap box pre-installed will eliminate much of the chaos as well as hazards that can be associated with connecting a temporary generator during a facility power loss.

  • Silver plated copper bus with a 1000A/sq. in. current density connects the permanent facility load feeders to industry standard Cam-Lok® E1016 compatible receptacles
  • NEMA standard hole pattern for permanent facility side connection
  • Color coded, male Cam-Lok® E1016 compatible single pole receptacles with attached covers to connect customer supplied
    female Cam-Lok® E1016 cables from the tap box to mobile generator
    • A phase – Brown
    • B phase – Orange
    • C phase – Yellow
    • Neutral – White
    • Ground – Green

   Enclosure Features

  • UL® 50 Listed
  • Carbon steel NEMA Type 3R, for outdoor installation
  • Powder coated ANSI 61 gray
  • Corrosion resistant hardware
  • Pad-lockable front door
  • Integral lower flip door allowing access to connect the mobile generator cables
  • Bottom door mechanically interlocked with front door to prevent unauthorized access to receptacles when not in use
